Reporting to the Manager, Parking Services, the Parking Services Coordinator will oversee all monitor parking, mobility, and transportation operations, including equipment & staffing activities related to the delivery of Transportation Services functions for events, tenants, and transportation.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily instructions, assist with developing policies and procedures, prepare work schedules, and assist with orientation appropriate to show and event requirements.
  • Prepare parking facilities for events with signage road closure equipment and liaise with other divisions.
  • Acts as a primary customer service contact participate in meetings to provide information on parking & transportation, including site requirements, layout and traffic control.
  • Prepare, implement and execute Traffic Management Plans, including the directing of Toronto Police, Security Services & other internal or external support.
  • Monitor, audit, and report on various operational requirements, including compliance and parking violations
  • Maximize parking revenue for Transportation Services throughout the year by capitalizing, communicating and being Innovative.
  • Assist and prepare equipment signage related to third-party rental agreements and market rental items, equipment, and service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a discipline pertinent to the job function or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a Parking & Transportation operation and/or an event-related environment.
  • Experience in supervising staff in a unionized environment.
  • Experience utilizing software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic mail).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership while working in a team environment.
  • Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends, including holidays, as required to support operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret collective agreements, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Parking Enforcement By-laws and Regulations.
