Exhibition Place Walking Tour – Battle of York
Did you know that Exhibition Place was once a battlefield?
This guided walking tour will take you to the sites once occupied by two battling forces during the War of 1812 and will tell the story of one of its earliest skirmishes – the Battle of York.
Join us on our tour and walk the ground where American, British and Indigenous forces fought for control of the town of York, now the city of Toronto.
This walk is led by Steve Collie of After Dark Tours.
Tour begins at the Dufferin Gate.
Tours will be limited to 25 participants and physical distancing between groups will be enforced.
The tour will take place entirely outdoors. Masks are not mandatory but are strongly recommended.
We will be monitoring the provincial government’s recommendations and any changes will be communicated as quickly as possible. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for last minute news and updates.
Come experience the stories and sites of the War of 1812 over 200 years later on this guided walking tour!
