We wanted to provide you with COVID-19 update as it pertains to our industry.
In addition to province-wide measures, there are additional targeted measures that have been implemented in Ottawa, Peel and Toronto as a result of higher than average rates of COVID-19 transmission in these areas. Toronto is considered an Enhanced Measures Zone.
Ontario has taken action to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. New restrictions took effect on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. and are outlined in Ontario Regulation 364/20 (Rules for Areas in Stage 3) under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, which rolls back the previous exemption to now limit Meetings of 50 people per venue indoors in Toronto. Tradeshows are still prohibited.

Filming is set to continue under the Provincial re-opening guidelines. If social gathering restrictions are re-introduced, they still don't affect a working site like a film production set, studio or location shoot.
Industrial guidelines are separate from social guidelines. Each sector or industry must follow its own safety guidance document. In the case of the Film & Television industry, for which there is no limit for how many people can be on a film production site working. The Film & Television Health and Safety Protocols, approved by the Ministry of Labour, can be found here. They are the protocols for all film productions in Toronto.
As always, we will continue to share updates with you as more information becomes available. We wish you and your loved ones a safe and healthy Thanksgiving.
