FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Councillor Mark Grimes, Chair of the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place, recommends that the City of Toronto and the Province of Ontario work together to develop a strategy for jointly planning the future of Exhibition Place and Ontario Place.
A letter from Councillor Grimes on the revitalization of Ontario Place and Exhibition Place will be considered by the Exhibition Place Board at its meeting on April 10, 2019 and sets out key principles that should be the focus of any study. “I believe that action is necessary now – Ontario Place and Exhibition Place cover over 400 acres of prime waterfront property in downtown Toronto”, says Councillor Grimes. “It is imperative that both governments work together on an urgent basis, to develop a master plan covering both sites to unlock the incredible economic and cultural potential of this area.”
