TORONTO (February 20, 2019) – Cementing its reputation as the Gathering Place of Toronto and as Canada's largest entertainment venue, Exhibition Place is releasing a promotional video that showcases how vibrant and desirable a destination it is for events, meetings, conventions & exhibitions, and that it’s all happening here at Exhibition Place in Toronto − Canada’s most exciting city.

“This visually engaging, promotional video reinforces the importance and size of Exhibition Place to Toronto, as a destination–a gathering place, that draws millions of people annually, with the perfect venues for international organizers looking to bring their events to Canada,” said Mark Grimes, Chair, Board of Governors of Exhibition Place. ”This video will help Exhibition Place continue to attract high profile, landmark events such as the Collision conference, the Jehovah’s Witnesses International Convention, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, that will bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to Toronto, delivering significant economic impact to the City and the province.”

The video showcases the unique and transformative nature of all of Exhibition Place’s 192-acre urban parkland for the more than 300 events − exhibitions, conventions, meetings, and tenants that take place here, attracting over 5.5 million people annually. Exhibition Place is also enjoyed by Toronto residents and visitors, is home to three professional sports teams, and is a cultural centre that maintains significant heritage properties and public art collections.

“We’re extremely proud of this video because it highlights all of the amazing, unique and diverse events and tenants that choose Exhibition Place as their home and which bring millions through the Princes’ Gates,” said Dianne Young, CEO, Exhibition Place. “Whether it’s a wedding at Liberty Grand, a battle between knights at Medieval Times or an incredible Toronto FC match to name a few, our tenants are very much a part of what makes Exhibition Place so special. This is something no other venue can compete with. Memories are made here and we’re proud to be the backdrop.”

The video also serves as a visual representation of Exhibition Place’s core values – continuous improvement by growing and working with our events to exceed visitor expectations; providing a safe environment: ensuring visitors feel secure, no matter the event; respect for people: creating inclusive spaces; place-making: creating relaxing, accessible spaces for all to experience; and stewardship: caring for the environment, championing sustainable practices and maintaining the heritage and history of the iconic Princes’ Gates and buildings on the grounds.

Two additional 30 second videos were also developed for digital sales and marketing efforts to promote Exhibition Place and its venues to meeting and event planners as the ideal location for their meetings, conventions, exhibitions and events. The sales team will use the videos to support their sales missions, conferences and trade shows, and sponsorship activations for new business development.

Exhibition Place is a longstanding feature of the City of Toronto, even before it was known as Toronto. From early trading posts in 1750, to the founding of the Toronto Industrial Exhibition in 1879, to the quick expansion of the grounds over the last 100 years, Exhibition Place established itself early on as a hub of economic activity and a place for industry to showcase innovations that have promoted economic growth within Canada.
