Exhibition Place Walking Tour – Battle of York
Did you know that Exhibition Place was once a battlefield?
On the evening of 26 April 1813, an American fleet of 17 ships was spotted on Lake Ontario, landing the following morning. This guided walking tour will take you across the grounds of Exhibition Place, following the footsteps of the attacking American forces and York defenders while uncovering the events that shaped history. Experience history where it happened!
This walk is led by Steve Collie of After Dark Tours.
Date: Saturday, April 26
Time: 11 AM – 1 PM
Meeting Point: Dufferin Gate (Dufferin St. overpass south of the Gardiner Expressway)
- Tour includes various and sometimes, rough terrain.
- Tours will take place rain or shine but will be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms.
- This is a dog-friendly activity; all dogs must be leashed.
